Holden Dealer Racing Team
The Holden Dealer Racing Team (HDRT) were the first Factory backed Rally Team to compete in Monaros. They raced three Monaros in the London to Sydney Marathon in 1968.

Holden Dealer Team
Harry Firth's Holden Dealer Team, following success with Monaros at Bathurst, built three Monaro Rally Cars for the 1970 Ampol Trial.
Keeping Classic Rally Alive
A Rally Cars History and Home is Dancing on the Dirt
What better way to preserve history than to keep adding to it. Our Monaro was built as a rally car and has a Legacy of over 200 events. Converting her to a street car would destroy the Legacy, we could not do that.
Instead we aim to showcase the Legend of the Monaro Rally Cars in suitable events where all can experience and celebrate these Iconic Cars and Events that created the Legends.
Monaro Factory Rally Teams
London to Sydney Marathon & Ampol Around Australia Trial
In early 1968 the Holden Dealer Racing Team built three HK Monaros to compete in the London to Sydney 7,000 mile 11 country Marathon. Mechanical problems resulted in a 12th and 14th finish with the third Monaro rolling at Broken Hill resulting in a DNF.
In 1970 the Holden Dealer Team entered three HT Monaros into the 10,000 mile Ampol Round Australia Trail. The first Monaro finished third crewed by Colin Bond, Tony Roberts and Brian Hope. Colin Bond went on to finish second in the Australian Rally Championship in the HT Monaro that year.
The Monaro is the "Camp Fire" that Friends and Family gather around. Strangers are drawn to her, Memories are refreshed and New Memories made. Work, Laugh and Learn together. This is Classic Rally.
