Growing up on a farm in the country, cars and dirt tracks were always going to have an effect on the Dimech Brothers. The local youth group linked the brothers to Rally in their teens and the passion has remained ever since.
Ken "Biggles" Cusack - Grandpa Duke
Ken's contribution to Monaro Rally Cars is unsurpassed. His dedication over the decades in keeping his Monaro on stage competing in over 200 events will never be beaten. Ken we salute you and respectfully appoint the deserving title of Grandpa Duke for eternity.
Colin Bond - King of Dukes
The Dukes Rally Monaro is a Tribute to the Holden Dealer Team Rally Monaro Driven by Colin Bond and Barry Furguson. The Holden Dealer Team were the Original Dukes of Oz and Colin Bond stood out on top. While Brock is King of the Mountain, Bond is King of the Forest.
Holden Dealer Team - Original Dukes
The Holden Dealer Team were the Original Dukes. With the London to Sydney Marathon and the Round Australia Rally. Lets meet them all.

The Monaro was exported to South Africa and New Zealand who both have great Motorsport heritage. Who were the Dukes Abroad who took their Chevrolet SS and Monaros into Rally.

Dukes of Oz Team has Three Generations of Dimechs, Good Mates Old and New
The Dimech Brothers are supported by Three Generations of Dimechs. Pa and Mem who tend to do the parts fetching and experience sharing. Grown kids in the Service Crew changing tires and helping with checks and repairs. Youngest Brother who tends to oversee that everything else comes together as needed. Add in some good Mates New and Old and you have a typical Grass Roots Family Rally Team. Who would think a 50 year old car could be a catalyst to bring generations together.
Dukes of the Decades
Passionate People kept Monaros in Rally Events when Holden moved on
The Holden Racing Team and Holden Dealer Team only ran Monaros in Rally events for a few years.
The Dukes in between kept Monaros in the Rally Stages for Decades including Ken Cusack who competed in Victoria for about 40 years.
Over time we hope to collect all the Monaro Rally Car team stories from around Australia.
We would also love to capture Dukes from beyond, New Zealand and South Africa must have some Monaro Rally stories to share as well with Australian Export Monaros.
The Monaro is the "Camp Fire" that Friends and Family gather around. Strangers are drawn to her, Memories are refreshed and New Memories made. Work, Laugh and Learn together. This is Classic Rally.
